Im off to the World Domination Summit! (insert evil laugh here)

Im off to the World Domination Summit! (insert evil laugh here) If youre reading this on Thursday, Im either (a) at an airport (b) in the air or (c) in Portland, Oregon for The World Domination Summit! If youre reading this anytime from Friday through Sunday, then Im basking in the amazeballsness of the speakers, participants, and Potlandosity that WDS has to offer. Im also probably tweeting way too much (follow me @WhenIGroUpCoach for my take-aways, or the #WDS feed for the whole shebang!). Ya know what I also decided? Im taking all of next week off as a vacation. I originally was gonna spend the week in Portland, AirBnBing it up and spending entire days writing my book proposal. However, an amazing opportunity came up for early next year (I promise to give ya the details as soon as I can!) that would have me traveling for about 10 days, and I decided to tighten the purse strings and come back to Brooklyn at the end of the conference. For some reason, I convinced myself that my book proposal can only get written if Im away from home, so I was tempted to put my clients back on the calendar once I realized, well, that I was coming home! Instead, I decided to treat Brooklyn like Portland, going from coffee shop to coffee shop and park to park to spend a solid 8 hours a day to write no work allowed for 4 days, and no social events, either! Its easy for me to see an empty week and fill it with lots of lovely dates, but Im flexing my No muscles and claiming it for myself. Il l let ya know how it goes. Ooh, not to worry that this blogll be empty for the next week far from it! I have a host of posts all scheduled to go out, and I promise to do a WDS wrap-up the week of the 13th.
